Holmwood Osteopathy & Complementary Health Clinic is a fully qualified and registered osteopathic practice. Providing bespoke and high quality osteopathic services and other therapies.

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis to relieve pain and restricted function. Osteopathy is aimed at treating the whole body, by improving overall flexibility and posture, resulting in improved health and a reduction in pain. An osteopath will look at the whole body for answers and solutions, not just the area which is painful.

For example, if you have a pain in the right knee an osteopath may treat the left side of the lower back, hip and ankle, not just the painful knee, resulting in the alleviation of pressure on the knee. This therapy is a unique holistic (whole body) approach to health care. Osteopaths do not simply concentrate on treating the problem area, but seek to identify the underlying cause. By using manual techniques, the osteopath aims to balance all the systems of the body, to provide overall good health and well-being.

Osteopathy can be used to effectively treat the pain in joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons - not just bad backs. Osteopaths also deal regularly with patients who have been injured in the workplace, at home or while playing sport.
